(b) Scott Well cleaning, testing and plugging efforts
complete and well is satisfactorily plugged.
Testing showed saline water from Entrada Formation
has been free to pollute upper formations by
traveling through the uncemented void between well
casing and drill bore.

(c) Cleaning, testing and plugging efforts on the
Marland Well have been temporarily terminated
because of well reentrance problems. WPRS
consultant, CH2M Hill Central, Inc., has been
requested to prepare progress report on the
verification program. After analysis of report,
a decision will be made concerning verification
efforts.

3. FY 82 activities depend on verification program findings.
The planning team will continue to review investigational
findings of consultant. Data acquisition and analysis
will continue on surface and ground water monitoring
efforts.

4. The Meeker Dome is a local anticlinal uplift located
in northwestern Colorado, 3 miles east of the Town of
Meeker and on the right bank of the White River.

Purposes of investigation are to gain understanding of
the quantity, sources, and mechanisms saline waters
enter the White River, and identify alternatives to
eliminate salt contribution.

2. Status - Investigation in early stages. URS Company
of Denver awarded contract for technical portion of
investigation, which includes determining salt loading
mechanisms and development of comparative appraisal
level alternatives. WPRS to do coordination, review
and public involvement.

3. Future activities - Determine recommended plan, prepare
r,eports containing technical information from contractor.
