<br />4. Project is located in west-central Colorado on the <br />Uncompahgre River south of Montrose near Ridgeway, <br />Colorado <br /> <br />B. Grand Valley Unit (CRBSCP) Stage I <br /> <br />1. Funding <br /> <br />FY 81 <br />FY 82 <br /> <br />$8,955,000 <br />$7,713,000 (Proposed Reagan Budget) <br /> <br />2. Lining of 6.7 miles of canal is complete <br /> <br />Stage I canal construction should be completed in July. <br />Irrigation water will be delivered April 1. Specifi- <br />cations have been issued. Bid opening for contract to <br />construct pipe laterals to be June 30, 1981. <br /> <br />Principal purpose is reduction of Colorado River <br />salinity levels. Construction activity consists of <br />lining canals to reduce seepage-salt pick-up. <br /> <br />Grand Valley Unit, Stage I, is located on the Colorado <br />River near the towns of Mack and Lorna. <br /> <br />III. Advanced Planning <br /> <br />A. West Divide <br /> <br />1. Funding <br /> <br />FY 81 <br />FY 82 <br /> <br />$100,000 <br />None (Proposed Reagan Budget) <br /> <br />2. We were not able to identify a plan with a favorable <br />B-C ratio - and because there are differing opinions <br />about the West Divide authorization - Congress was <br />notified of the results of the investigation and we <br />are now depending on Congress for further direction. <br /> <br />3.
