<br />WHEREAS, Section 37-60-106(1)(c), Colorado Revised Statutes <br />1973, directs the Colorado Water Conservation Aoard to designate <br />and approve storm or floodwater runoff channels or basins and to <br />make such designations available to legislative bodies of local <br />jurisdictions; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the staff of the Board has reviewed said revised <br />information and data and does h~reby recommend to the Colorado <br />Water Conservation Board that the Board designate and approve as <br />floodplain areas those areas inundated by a 100-year flood <br />(intermediate regional flood) as described by the floodwater <br />surface elevations and profiles in the said new report and <br />further recommends that that portion of Resolution Number 7, <br />dated January 14, 1970, pertaintng to floodplain information for <br />the Rio Grande within the current corporate limits of the City of <br />Monte Vista be rescinded; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOtVED by the Colorado Water Conser- <br />vation Board in regular '1\eet i.ng assembled in Denver, Colorado, <br />this 16th day of August, 1982, that it does hereby designate and <br />approve as floodplain areas th()se areas inundated by a 1 DO-year <br />flood as described by the floodwater surface elevations and <br />profiles in the 110nte Vista Flood Insurance StudY for the Rio <br />Grande, and does hereby rescind that portion of Resolution Number <br />7, dated January 14, 1970, pert<9.ininq to floodplain information <br />for the Rio Grande within the CUrrent corporate limits of the <br />City of Monte Vista: and <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Board is <br />directe"l to send a certified CO!?y of this resolution to the <br />the City of Monte vista; the Board of County Commissioners of <br />Rio Grande County; the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Alburquerque <br />District; and the Federal Emeraency Management Agency. <br /> <br />C E R T I F I CAT E <br /> <br />I certify that the foregoing is a true and correct copy of a <br />resolution adopted by a majority vote of the members of the <br />Colorado Water Conservation Board in reaular session assembled at <br />Denver, Colorado, on the 16th day of -August, 1982,'at which a <br />quorum was present. <br /> <br />J.
