Gentlemen:

I have today filed with Governor Knous my resignation as
a member of the Colorado Water Conservation Board. . I regret
having to take this action, but my health and my age make it
necessary for me to give up the duties of this position.
I have enjoyed my association as a member of this Board
and I feel I have found much satisfaction in assisting in the
State's water progran.
It ,is my hope that, through the efforts of the Colorado
Water Bonservation Board, the State will continue to make sub-
stantial progress in adjusting its water resources which are
so important to the welfare of Colorado.

prepare a resolution recognizing Mr. Wallrich I s services on the Board.

The Director commented on the recent resignation of Charles 1.
Patterson, Chief Engineer of the Board, and announced that until selection of
a successor, Mr. R. J. Tipton, Consulting Engineer, would have general over-
all charge of engineering activities, assisted by R. M. Gildersleeve, of the
office staff.
