The <br />tasks are listed below. The objective of these tasks is to develop a preferred Storage Options Plan, <br />which will meet the District-wide storage demands as documented in the Water and Storage Needs <br />Assessment <br /> <br />Task 1. Support the District on investigations/evaluations of the following alternatives: <br /> <br />Lake Meredith Enlargement <br />Review studies completed by Colorado Springs <br />Assess technical and cost issues <br /> <br />Fry-Ark Reoperation (See Task 5) <br />Review ongoing work of Colorado Springs <br />Work with District to develop a reoperation plan <br /> <br />- <br /> <br />Turquoise Lake Enlargement <br />Review prior USBR studies <br />Assess technical issues <br />Develop cost estimate <br />Assess social/environmental issues <br /> <br />Pueblo Reservoir (No activities by GEl) <br /> <br />Gravel Lakes Storage <br />Obtain data on current/planned mining operations <br />Assess regional geology <br />Assess technical feasibility and cost oflined water storage facilities <br /> <br />Non-Structural Alternatives <br />Develop, in greater detail, the concepts of drought leasing, drought insurance, water banking <br />Discuss concepts with selected District/SSC entities <br />Assess potential role in 'meeting District-wide objectives <br /> <br />Task 2. <br /> <br />Monitor and review the work to be W1dertaken by Montgomery- W atsonJBlack & Veatch <br />for Colorado Springs Utilities and provide advice to District.
