Law, Executive Director <br /> <br />RE: <br /> <br />Director's Report <br /> <br />Small Water Resources Proiects <br /> <br />The 2000 Series A bond issue for Parker WSD ($13.3 million) and Upper Eagle Regional Water Authority <br />($10.7 million) was closed on March 8. With these loans, the Smail Water Resources Projects program has <br />grown to 43 loans with an original loan value of $109.8 million. <br /> <br />We are currently working on a bond issue for early 2001. At this time North Weld County Water District is <br />seeking funds ($10 million) for general water system improvements. <br /> <br />Water Pollution Control Revolving Fund <br /> <br />The 2000 Series A bond issue for the WPCRF was closed on June 14. Borrowers included Parker WSD <br />($12 million), Snake River WSD ($17 million), and Three Lakes WSD ($6.5 million). The loan rate for these <br />entities was 4.66%. A direct loan for Coiumbine WSD ($485,000) was closed on June 7. With these loans <br />the WPCRF has grown to 79 loans with an original loan value of $343.6 million. <br /> <br />Potential borrowers for 2001 include Cortez SD, Broomfield, Cedaredge, Fort Collins (storm water and <br />wastewater), Baca Grande WSD, Berthoud, Littleton/Englewood, Denver Southeast WSD and the Fraser <br />SD. The Cherry Creek Basin Authority may also seek funds next year to control non-point source pollution <br />above Cherry Creek Reservoir. <br /> <br />Drinking Water Revolving Fund <br /> <br />The 2000 Series A bond issue for the DWRF was closed on May 10. Borrowers included Limon ($1.4 <br />miilion), Pueblo ($9.55 miilion), Fountain Valley Authority ($7.6 million), Westminster ($15 million) and <br />Evergreen Metro ($5.6 million). Loan rates for these entities ranged from 4.4% to 4.6%, A direct loan to <br />Sedalia WSD ($326,000) was executed on March 16. A direct loan to Springfield ($425,000) is anticipated <br />later this month. With these loans, the DWRF has grown to 41 loans with a value of $141.7 million. <br /> <br />At this time the only potential borrower for 2001 is LaJunta. <br /> <br />On June 2, the Board authorized the 20% state match for the public water system supervision (PWSS) set- <br />aside from the 2000 capitalization grant. The $505,000 set-aside ($101,000 match) will permit the Water <br />Quality Control Division to hire 4 to 6 additional staff to handle new requirements under the Safe Drinking <br />Water Act. The Board agreed to provide this match from administrative fees on a non-reimbursable basis <br />through 2004. <br />
