<br /> <br />WHEREAS, under Chapter 265 of the Statutes of the State of <br />Colorado such amounts are now payable but of money appropriated <br />by the General Assembly for the Colorado Water Conservation <br />Board; and <br /> <br />~~REAS. it is advisable and necessary to pay the above <br />amounts promptly in accordance with the orders of the Court; <br />and it appearing that there remains of the amount appropriated <br />to the Colorado Water Conservation Board for the Biennium 1943- <br />1945 a sufficient a~ount to pay the amount of $6.092.13; <br /> <br />NOW. TlffiREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the COlorado Water Con- <br />servation Board that the payment of $6.092.13 to Michael J. <br />Doherty. Special Alaster in the above mentioned case. be and the <br />same is. hereby approved; and that the Director be and is au- <br />thorized and directed to draw and sign a voucher, payable out <br />of the funds appropriated to the Board for the Biennium 1943- <br />1945. for the payment of the above described claim 0 f $6.092.13. <br /> <br />M. C. Hinderlider seconded the motion and upon vote being <br />taken. it was unanimously carried and the resolution declared <br />adopted. <br /> <br />It was moved by J. M. Dille and seconded by M. C. Hinder- <br />lider that the Director be authorized to make a claim for the <br />sum of $500 for the estimated amount of Colorado's share of the <br />Court cost in the case of the State of Nebraska vs. The State of <br />Wyoming. The State of Colorado. Impleaded Defendant. The United <br />States of America. Intervener; and that said warrant be held to <br />pay these costs when a bill for the same is rendered. it being <br />understood that any balance over and above the actual cost and <br />up to the amount of $500 revert to the State Treasury. <br /> <br />Upon vote being t~cen the motion was passed and declared <br />adopted, <br /> <br /> <br />The Director then called attention to the printing of the Bien- <br />nial Report of the State Engineer. He stated that the report contained <br />textual matters of a general nature but was largely made up of vmter sup- <br />ply information used extensively by the Colorado Water Conservation Board <br />and parties within and outside of the State of Colorado interested in cur- <br />rent water supply information. He pointed out that the State Engineer had <br />only the sum of $2.000 remaining in his funds to apply upon the printing <br />of the report but that it would require $4.600 for the purpose. He stated <br />that Governor Jolm C. Vivian and James A. Noonan. State Budget and Effi- <br />ciency Commissioner. had recommended that considering the use by the Board <br />of this report and the inadvisability of permitting a hiatus in the series <br />of reports issued by the State En~ineer, the Colorado Water Conservation <br />Board pay the sura of $2,600 to aid in the printing of this report. <br /> <br />M. C. Hinderlider. State Engineer and a Menber of the Board then <br />made further explanation of the matter. <br /> <br />
