' <br /> <br />Thereupon Attorney General Hinkley presented the follow- <br />ing resolution and moved its passage: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION <br /> <br />WHEREAS, it appears, and the Colorado Water Conservation <br />Board does find, that the State Engineer of Colorado is re- <br />quired to publish a Biennial Report which, besides a text show- <br />ing water supply, crop conditions and material concerning <br />storage reservoirs and dams and other general information, <br />contains a description of stream gaging stations and tables <br />of stream discharges for the biennial period; that such re- <br />port is used by the Colorado Water Conservation Board and is <br />essential for carrying out certain phases of the work of the <br />Board; and that the material for the Thirty-second Biennial <br />Report of the State Engineer, issued as a report of the De- <br />partment of Water Resources for the 'year 1943-l944, is ready <br />for publication; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, from the representation made to the Board by <br />M. C. Hinderlider, State Engineer, there are inadequate funds <br />in his department for the payment of $4,600 required for the <br />publication of such Thirty-second Biennial Report, and that <br />he has in his funds available for such purposes only the sum <br />of $2,000 and the balance of $2,600 must be paid from other <br />sources; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, it appears that unless such payment by the Board <br />is made, the above mentioned report cannot be published and <br />made available and there will be a hiatus in the series of <br />such reports; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Colorado Water Con- <br />servation Board that the sum of $2,600 be paid by this Board <br />as a part of the cost of the publication of the Thirty-second- <br />Biennial Report of the Department of Water Resources for the <br />year 1943-1944 and that the Director is hereby authorized to <br />draw a voucher in such amount on the funds of the Colorado Wa- <br />ter Conservation Board for the Biennium 1943-1945 for such pur- <br />pose. <br /> <br />Geo. A. Pughe seconded the adoption of the motion and af- <br />ter further discussion, a vote was taken resulting in the un- <br />animous passage of the motion and the resolution was declared <br />adopted. <br /> <br />The Director then called attention to the fact that there was <br />due under the existing cooperative contract between the Colorado Water <br />Conservation Board and the U. S. Geological Survey for the installation, <br />maintenance and operation of gaging stations for project investigations <br />the sum of $6,300. <br /> <br />Thereupon J. M.
