I

I

MR. DUGAN:

HR. STAPLETON:

MR. DUGAN:

MR. STAPLETON:

MR. SPARKS:

-"'2:;J.J:;J

"~lell, we are still planning to complete
our feasibility studies next year. While the
exploration of the damsite is essentially
completed, there are many details of planning
that will have to be completed in order for
us to give the usual type of feasibility re-
port. These aspects are flood control and the
recreation and fish and wildlife aspects of
the reservoir. There will be the necessity to
finally size it; to contract with Denver,
Aurora and any other entities that might be
interested in conservation service out of the
project. Of course, there will also have to
be the necessary planning on the road reloca-
tions and the recreation facilities at the
site.

But I think we are past one important
milestone in completing our geologic explora-
tions. I feel very fine about this and very
confident that we do have a sound project."

"The Board, as you know, is keeping our
congressional delegation informed on the Two
Forks and everything else that is being done.
Have you been meeting with any of the Repre-
senatatives or Senators on the Two Forks Dam?"

"Yes. He have had considerable correspon-
dence with the congressional delegation in
regard to progress and we've consult~d with
many of the participants on the project be-
cause of the interest and the desire for
information on the project. We are planning
to release the status report this month that
will bring the project up to date and supply
some information on our recent findings."

"Does the Board have any questions of t-ir.
Dugan?"

"t-ir. Dugan, how about the Narrows? When,
during this year, could we expect the Bureau
to appear before a congressional committee and
state that it has a completed feasibility
study report on the Narrows Project?"
