<br />supply sources and water users profiles in the state, By asking questions and reviewing summary reports <br />and information from reservoir operators and water providers the contractor will be able to: <br />. identify those providers with excess capacity or shortages; <br />. capture location, capacity and limitations of storage facilities; <br />. capture reserve and/or carryover capacity of storage facilities; <br />. identify who may be willing to assist others and assess impacted organizations in times of drought; <br />and <br />. determine where the various water supply sources are located and in what quantities, <br /> <br />, <br /> <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />Task 4: The uroiect will reuort on water use limitations and uriorities and identifv uotential areas <br />that mav have additional storaee or transfer cauabilitv. <br />The contractor will compile information from the Colorado Division of Water Resources, Bureau of <br />Reclamation, local municipalities and Army Corps of Engineers about storage facilities that are under <br />restricted storage directives, The contractor will compile information about the priority of water rights on <br />the major streams in a river basin and estimate their water yield for the year 2000, <br />The survey will: <br />· capture data such as water rights priorities; <br />. determine reserve or carryover capacity ofthe providers; <br />. evaluate if the providers have water users who could utilize interruptible supply arrangements; <br />. illustrate what problems might face Colorado water users within the next ten to fifteen years based on <br />the survey results and population projections; and <br />. solicit comments on existing or proposed regulations and environmental compliance issues, <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />Task 5: The uroiect will summarize the eeneral state of droul!ht ureuaredness and mitieation <br />ulannine to show the urovider's cauabilitv of dealine with a snstained droueht. <br />The contractor's report will: <br />. give a brief definition and summarize all Western D,S. methodologies for conservation and <br />mitigation of drought; <br />. identify and promote best drought management practices and incorporate references in the report and <br />make all the data available to the CWCB to construct pages to be added to its website; <br />. determine the estimated sustained drought reserve capacity of water providers and the effectiveness of <br />their existing contingency plans; e <br /> <br />6 <br />
