Castle <br />:Pines North is a covered entity <br />ilocated in the south metro <br />'Denver area, in northern <br />Douglas County, Colorado. <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />, <br /> <br />Water Efficiency Regional Water ConservationCWWC, GWI, and WRA will conduct a series of 1 V2 day $49,975 <br />Grant Workshops - Building Your technical workshops statewide - Douglas County, Pueblo, <br />Water Conservation Planning 'Alamosa, Gunnison, & Glenwood Springs. The workshops <br />Toolkit are a tool to teach water providers the components of <br />proper water conservation planning based on the ewCB <br />(Guidance Document; to provide valuable information to the <br />'water community regarding the state of the science of water <br />'conservation and water use efficiency measures and <br />.programs; and to provide an opportunity for local water <br />;users and providers, as well as other speakers to share their <br />:experiences and lessons learned regarding planning for and <br />.implementing water conservation programs. <br /> <br />Water Efficiency <br />Grant <br /> <br />! <br />:Castle Pines North Water <br />IMetropolitan District (CPN), Conservation <br />:which is a covered entity located Planning Grant <br />lin the south metro Denver area, <br />,in northern Douglas County, <br />,Colorado. <br /> <br />Sustainable Development in <br />Colorado - Water Efficient <br />:Landscaping, Irrigation <br />System Efficiency, and <br />Precipitation Management <br /> <br />--, - <br />,Water Conservation Plan for <br />Castle Pines North <br />Metropolitan District <br /> <br />,This project is a water efficiency study to look at ways to 1$47,000 <br />'preserve groundwater in the applicant's service area and <br />:meet future demands. CPN is examining three strategies <br />,that hold great potential for saving water and promoting <br />sustainable use of the existing groundwater resource which <br />includes: 1) water efficient landscaping, 2) improved <br />~irrigation system efficiency, and 3) precipitation <br />'management. The project is a theoretical study, involving <br />literature reviews & modeling, to demonstrate the feasibility : <br />and sustainability of implementing rainwater conservation ' <br />,without injuring existing water rights within the framework <br />of existing Colorado water law. <br /> <br />. . <br />With the assistance of CDM Consulting, CPN develOped a <br />comprehensive water conservation plan using the ewCB's <br />Water Conservation Plan Development Guidance Document. <br />Utilizing the Model Plan Template and associated planning <br />worksheets, CPN was able to initiate its first water <br />conservation plan incorporating the State's 9 planning steps <br />and addressing the statutory requirements for all plans. <br /> <br />:$20,000 <br />I <br />
