WHEREAS representati""s of affeoted. interests have appeared
before this Board and the representatives 01' this Board have made
investigations of the projeot as proposed; and

WHEImAS upon the basis of all information available to the
Board it appears that the Cherry Creek Flood Control Projeot as adopted
by the United States Army Bngineers will adequately JllI!tet the require-
ments for flood prc:teotion in the area whioh it serves I and

WHEREAS it further appears that there is grave and immediate
danger to life and property by reason .01' the present oondition of the
Cherry Creek watershed to be affeoted by said projeot: and that Denver
and the adjaoent metropolitan area, and .the adjaoent agrioultural
oommunities affeoted, are in hearty aooord in desiring the immediate
oonstruotion of the projeotl

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Congress of the
United States be and the S8llle is hereby urged to make the neoeBsary
appropriations for oonstruotion of the projeot as soon as possible I
this BOll.rd finding and deolaring that said projeot is of great and im-
mediate publio importanoe and will afford proteotion to life and
property in the most populous and highly de'l:eloped area of the State
of: Coloradol

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that members of the Congressional
delegation 01' Colorado be and they are hereby urged to use their best
efforts to present the gravity and importanoe 01' the Cherry Creek
Flood Control Project, to 'the end that provisions for finanoing the.
project may be made at an early date." '

Upon a vote being taken the motion was unanimously
oarried subjeot-to a statement by Judge John B. O'Rourke
that he was voti ng in favor of the moti on with the under-
stwding that his vote would not oOllllllit him at this time
as a representati"" of Western Colorado. to the construotion
of the Blue-South Platte diversion projeot.

It 'll&S understood that the reoord show that a vote on the resolution
would not oommit any member of the Beard to any pos~tion whioh they might
take in the future on the Blue-South Platte projeot.

Thereupon the motion was declared adopted.

Thereupon the BOll.rd took up the question of representation of the State
of Colorado at the forthooming meeting of the Upper Basin States of the
Colorado River Basin. whioh is expeoted to be oalled in the near future by
Governor Hunt of Wyaning.
