STAPLETON:

MR. !<NIGHTS:

the success of this Board in resolving intra-
state water conflicts has depended on the
services of men like Silmon Smith;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the
Colorado Water Conservation Board expresses
its deep regret at the death of Silmon Smith.
and directs that a copy of this resolution be
spread upon the minutes of the Board, and that
a copy be sent to the widow and family of
Mr. Smith.'"

"Will our guests join us in adopting this
resolution unanimously by a standing vote?
The resolution is unanimously adopted.

The next item on the agenda is a report
from Region 7, Bureau of Reclamation. As you know, Congress
passed a law last fall which deauthorized the
Missouri Basin projects which might previously
have been considered authorized. So we will

Ii
