operate that as a regular gaging station now.
In order to do this we put a station in on
the diversion canal just below the headgate.
Then there was the station on the Roaring
Fork near Aspen which has been operated for
a good many years below the main diversion
over there, Salvation Canal, and this was
moved upstream so that we could get a record
of runoff without having to adjust for the
diversions. The station on the Fryingpan
River near Ruedi was moved because of construc-
tion work on the Ruedi Dam.

since this report was written, at the
request of Region 4 of the Bureau of Recla-
mation, we moved the station from Big Beaver
Creek near BUford to one on Lost Creek. They
requested this in order to get some additional
information there in the upper White River
basin.

A partial record station where we will
collect records of peak flow and low flow was
established on Moniger Creek in cooperation
with the Denver Water Board.

Three temporary gaging stations were
established in connection with the study we
are making in the piceance basin in coopera-
tion with this Board. One was on Piceance
Creek near Meeker, one on Yellow Creek and
the old station on Parachute Creek near Grand
Valley was reestablished. These will not be
regular gaging stations. We will collect some
information there for use in the ground water
study that is in progress at this time.

The stations that were discontinued: One
was the North Fork Republican River near Wray
which was dropped after the Bureau of Recla-
mation decided that it wasn't feasible to go
ahead with the project down there. Snake
River at Dillon was discontinued when storage
in Dillon Reservoir drowned the station out.
Fryingpan River at Ruedi was the one that was
moved because of construction of the dam. The
new station is located near Ruedi. The flow
