I believe that. in general. concludes
my report. I might just mention very briefly
another assignment that was given to the Bureau
of Reclamation and specifically to the Grand
Junction Project Office. That was the estab-
lishment of a Bureau of Reclamation Job corps I
Camp in the Collbran area. This legislation.
the so-called 'War on Proverty'. provides for
the establishment of a number of these camps.
Any of the so-called conservation agencies may
have one of these camps to sponsor and the
Bureau of Reclamation drew that assignment as
far as the State of Colorado was concerned.
The legislation provided that the Governor of
Colorado had 30 days to veto this proposal.
The proposal was made to him shortly after the
election and he has just recently approved the
establishment of this camp.

If there are any questions. I'll be happy
to try and answer them."

"Have they set a date to evaluate the
releasing or the continued impounding of
the water at Glen?"

"The most likely date will be sometime
after January 1st when they can get the first
forecast reports as to the possible runoff
that may occur. I think that time will be
the first time they will make a serious effort
to try to evaluate that situation."

"Do you have the present elevation level
or the total impoundment at Hoover? Do you
have those figures?"

"Yes. I have those figures someplace here.
At the end of the month. about November 29th,
there was 6,200.000 in Glen."
