There are no surface water diversions within <br />this reach of stream. Based on this analysis staff has determined that water is available for <br />appropriation on JQS Gulch, from its headwaters at the confluence of an unnamed tributary and <br />extending downstream to the confluence with Golden Castle Gulch, to preserve the natural <br />environment to a reasonable degree without limiting or foreclosing the exercise of valid existing <br />water rights. <br /> <br />CWCS Staff's Instream Flow Recommendation <br />Staff recommends the Board form its intent to appropriate on the following: <br /> <br />Stream: JQS Gulch Creek <br />Water Division: 5 <br />Watershed: Parachute Creek <br />Counties: Garfield <br />Upper Terminus: Unnamed Tributary at (Latitude: 390 35' 44") eLongitude: 107054' 00") <br />Lower Terminus: Golden Castle Gulch at eLatitude 390 35' 08") eLongitude 107054' 55") <br />Length: 1.1 Miles <br />USGS Quades): Anvil Points <br />Flow Recommendation: 0.7 cfs (April 15 - June 30) <br />0.2 cfs eJuly I - August 31) <br />0.3 cfs eSeptember I - March 14) <br />0.4 cfs eMarch 15 - April 14) <br /> <br />JQS~gulch_hw ~ GC_ISF _RPT <br />Last printed 01/11/00 I :21 PM <br />
