and that we will be ready to store Water in
Blue Mesa late this fall.

Contract has been awarded for the clearing
of the Blue Mesa Reservoir in the sum of $110,000
to the Humphrey Contracting corporation of
Wichita, Kansas.

The contractor at Morrow Point Dam is
moving along. He is working three shifts a
day, five days a week. Progress at this struc-
ture is not as good as we had hoped for.
Presently about 17 percent of the work has
been completed. The contractor is primarily
doing work on the rock excavation for the
powerplant, keyways and the tunnel portals.
He has also made a start on the two penstock
tunnels. They are in the last stage of setting
up a concrete batchplant, and the cableway across
the dam for the placing of concrete has been
installed. A great amount of rock bolting has
been reEuired in this area.

At Crystal Dam, the last dam of the Cure-
canti Unit, ~ll the core drilling, the design
data, necessary for completing final design on
this dam is essentially completed and is in the
hands of our Chief Engineer's office. We expect
to call for bids on the first work on Crystal
Dam soon, which will consist of an access road
into this area. This is a very difficult piece
of construction.

Going on to the participating projects,
the Florida project, essentially all work has
been completed by the Bureau of Reclamation.
The Florida Water Conservancy District is com-
pleting the last work on rehabilitation of
approximately 50 miles of canal with funds
advanced by the Bureau. This distribution
system brings water to 11,900 acres of 19,450
acres on the project.

On the Silt Project we are not making quite
as good progress on the Rifle Gap Dam as we had
hoped for. The work completed to date has con-
sisted of excavation of the open cut for the
