We have analyzed available data on a
possible multiple-purpose development on the
Arickaree River. We have put this into a
letter report to your Director and have recommend-
ed that for the time being no further investiga-
tion should be done on this potential develop- I
ment. The economic problems that accompany this .
development would indicate that it should be
deferred and perhaps an investigation under-
taken at some future time when the possibilities
become more promising.

We have not engaged in further activities
on the st. Francis unit.

On the Narrows unit we are in the process
of preparing a feasibility report. The draft
of this report is scheduled for completion in
October. The agricultural and hydrologic
studies are progressing satisfactorily and
they'll be in shape for review by the cooperat-
ing federal agencies within the ne~t few weeks.

The reconnaissance report on the Upper
South Platte unit is nearing completion. It
is in the final review stages in our Washington
office and we hope to be able to present the
state and other interests in this basin with a
reconnaissance evaluation in the near future.
We are concurrently proceeding with feasibility
investigations on that unit and they are
scheduled for completion in 1968.

The st. vrain Unit has been reviewed with
the Steering committee on the St. Vrain-Boulder
Creek area. It does not appear that federal
funds will be available for detailed investiga-
tions in F. Y. '66. Any work that we will be
able to do on a continuing basis there will
have to be accomplished with basin funds.

Since your last meeting, design data have
been submitted to our chief Engineer for a
design and estimate on the Idylwilde Dam and
Reservoir of the Cache la poudre unit. We
should be getting to the point where we will be
able to advise you on the possibility for devel-
opment of that project.
