the Attorney General or Ray Moses or
someone has researched this question.

I think we ought to stay on the
basis on which we started out here. The
state spent some money and at the time
we spent it, we spent it to find this
out. Now we have spent money and we
have got some of the information and I
think that Mr. Douglas and some of these
people, if these questions can't be
answered, then certainly we ought to take
a long look at the project. I don't
think there is any question about it.
The whole idea in coming here and having
this Water Board here is to let everybody
know what everybody else is thinking and
put the cards on the table. If anybody
has some particular objection and if it
is going to do a certain thing, we ought
to know this. But we are never go ing to
know it and this is going to continually
plague us unless we now make this determination
and find out whether it is a good thing
or a bad thing.

And that is what I assume that every-
body wants to do. That is what I want
to do. I want to know the answers to
some of these questions.

is one question I would like to know:
this project goes through, these wells
are drilled, who is going to determine
whether damage is being done? Will that
be determined by the Bureau of Reclamation
and how much say-so will local people have?
I am under the Platoro Reservoir and
the reservoir board, they don't have much
say-so about it. This year they weren't
even notified when the water was turned
out. I would like to know how much say
the local people will have about this.
