MR. STAPLETON:

MR. SELLERS:

MR. STAPLETON:

I furnished money to fight the pump-
ing when some of my neighbors started
pumping. They were going to drill some
of the wells, they had domestic purpose
and they begin to drill some of those
wells and some of my neighbors started I
collecting money to bring a lawsuit to
stop those wells from pumping bu~ anyway,
we lost. '

I think the Supreme Court decided to
go ahead and pump and we all went ahead
and pumped.

The point I want to bring up is what
surprised me is to see all these lakes
up in the mountains going dry, I know the
streams are going dry, I seen for many
years the streams that run not less than
three feet and they never went dry and
for the last few years I have seen some
of those streams dry every year and I have
traveled these mountains since I was 13
years old every year in the mountains
and watching those streams and watching
those lakes.

Thank you very much.

(Applause)

Thank you very much, Mr. Valdez.

Why can't renegotiations occur? I
thought possibly a committee could be
appointed to look into all the matters
and facts concerning our commitment and
possibly in two or three years they might
be able to bring in ideas to give to us
so we would have something to renegotiate
on.

I

Another point is why does the Fish
and Wild Life have to be included in this
project that you have outlined here?

I'll take the first one about re-
negotiation.
