<br />e <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />2, People Ditch Companv - People Ditch Diversion Structure Rehabilitation <br />Authorization: Small Project Loan County: Logan", N.R of Sterling <br />Water Source: South Platte River Project Yield: 1,200 ac.ft. <br />Terms of Loan: $43,000 @3.75% for 20 years Project Type: Diversion Structure <br /> <br />The People's Ditch Company historically diverted irrigation water from the South Platte River at an existing <br />diversion point located approximately 6 miles northwest of the Town of Sterling. This existing diversion <br />structure was damaged during the flood of 1995 and was entirely washed out in 1997, The proposed project is to <br />construct a new diversion structure along the Bravo Ditch, therefore eliminating the need for the existing <br />structure, and then construct approximately 1050 Lf. of 24" pipeline to transport the flow from the Bravo Ditch <br />back to Peoples Ditch, Bravo Ditch has agreed to allow People Ditch to convey their decree flows through their <br />ditch system and then divert it back to the existing People Ditch by means of the new diversion structure. The <br />project is tentatively on-hold pending resolution of some specific loan contract requirements, <br /> <br />3, Summit Reservoir and Irrigation Company <br />Authorization: SB-97-008 <br />Water Source: Lost Canyon Creek <br />Terms of Loan: $200,000@3.75% for 30-years <br /> <br />County: Montezuma - NE of Cortez <br />Project Yield: 4,287 ac. ft, <br />Project Type: Reservoir and Ditch Rehab. <br /> <br />This $270,000 project is the rehabilitation ofthe Sununit Reservoir Dam outlet works and the repair and <br />improvements to the Summit Reservoir and Irrigation Company's water collection and distribution facilities. The <br />Cortez office of Natural Resource Conservation Service prepared the construction plans and specifications, <br />Construction for the second to the last phase ofin:lprovements commenced in March of 1999, by Noland, Inc" of <br />Mancos, CO" and was completed in July of 1999, The final phase of improvements is scheduled to be designed <br />during the winter of 2000/0 1 with construction to follow in the Fall of 200 I, Commencement of construction is <br />contingent upon resolving project right-of-way issues, <br /> <br />4, Loveland. City of - Green Ridge Glade Reservoir Rehabilitation <br />Authorization: HB 98-1189 County: Larimer - W, of Loveland <br />Water Source: Big Thompson River Project Yield: 6,000 acre feet <br />Terms of Loan: $5,000,000 @4.75% for 10 yrS,Project Type: Dam enlargement <br /> <br />This $19,2 million project is the enlargement of the Green Ridge Glade Reservoir northwest of Loveland. The <br />project consists of raising the crest of the existing dam approximately 60 feet, construction of a new concrete <br />labyrinth weir spillway, and new multi-level intake gate tower outlet structure. The City has contracted with <br />Woodward-Clyde of Denver to prepare the final design and construction contract documents, Environmental <br />studies have been complete and the City is currently in the process of obtaining the necessary permits to realign <br />the adjacent County Road. The design is scheduled to be complete by December of 200 1, with construction to <br />follow in June of2002. <br /> <br />5, Riverside Reservoir and Land Companv - Riverside Reservoir Spillwav Rehabilitation <br />Authorization: SB 98-1189 County: Weld - NW of Wiggins <br />Water Source: South Platte River Project Yield: 200 ac,ft, <br />Terms of Loan: $450,000 @ 3,75% for 20 yrs, Project Type: Spillway Rehabilitation <br /> <br />This project is the construction of an emergency spillway on the Riverside Reservoir Dam, located II miles <br />northwest of Wiggins in Weld County, The State Engineer has placed a storage <br />restriction on the reservoir until an emergency spillway is completed, The Riverside Reservoir and Land <br />Company contracted with W.W, Wheeler and Associates of Denver to prepare construction plans and <br />specifications. The State Engineer's office and the Riverside Reservoir and Land Company are currently <br />evaluating alternate spillway sizes, Construction of the project is currently on-hold, pending resolution of the <br />spillway size and downstream property issues, <br />
