relatively sure, will appropriate for this
fiscal year, It is in the President's
budget as you know, and has been approved.
by the House of Representatives and is now
in the Senate. So you can see the Blue Mesa
unit, which includes the dam, the powerplant
and switchyard, under this control schedule
would be completed by June 30, calendar year
1966. Now these things will vary somewhat
with the plan that was presented in the feasi-
bility report but that's the period I believe
these appropriations come along that the
Bureau can plan on and this was in their
original plan - this $1,400,000 was in their
original plan. That's not something that we
just picked out of a hat this year in the way
of appropriations. So by June 3D, 1966, it
is anticipated that the Blue Mesa unit, in-
cluding the powerplant, the dam and the switch-
yard, will be completed. vie have drawn some
arrows in here. This blue arrow indicates
that water storage will start on that date,
that's approximately in October of 1965. Power
production, of course, will not come along
until the last unit is finished which is the
powerplant and the switchyard. The power will
become available then in June, 1966, but the
water storage will start approximately nine
months ahead of the power availability. We
couldn't generate any power anyway until we
got the reservoir relatively full.

The Morrow Point unit is scheduled to
start in 1964 - July I, 1964. It will then
be completed in 1968, approximately April or
May is the proposed schedule, of 1968. Re-
creation development is scheduled to start
here in July, 1966, and it will be completed
by June 3D, 1969. So what we essentially have
for the Blue Mesa and Morrow Point Dams, power-
plants, and switchyards, and recreation de-
velopments, is a construction period starting
two days from now, July 1, 1960, and ending
July I, 1969.

,

On the Crystal unit we do not have the
detailed Bureau plan to run out a similar
graph on it, but we expect the Crystal unit
to start somewhere in 1966 and take a period
of approximately four to five years to com-
!)lete.

I
