<br />Discussion <br /> <br />Jack Odor, P.E. has been hired by the Sterling Irrigation Company to complete the <br />feasibility study. He has submitted a plan of study with a cost estimate of$2,800 and is <br />working on an initial draft of the feasibility study as the first step in obtaining CWCB <br />loan financing for the project. Staff has reviewed and approved the plan of study (copy <br />attached). A $1,400 grant would amount to 50 percent of the estimated cost of the study. <br /> <br />Upon completion of the study, and if the project is found to be feasible, the Sterling <br />Irrigation Company intends to apply to the Board in November 1998 for funding of the <br />river diversion rehabilitation project in 1999. <br /> <br />Recommendation <br /> <br />Staff recommends that the Board approve a grant from the Operational Account of the <br />Severance Tax Trust Fund in FY '99 to the Sterling Irrigation Company for 50 percent of <br />the cost of Sterling Irrigation Diversion Structure Rehabilitation Study, not to exceed <br />$1,400. <br /> <br />Cc: Ken Gareis, President, Sterling Irrigation Co. <br />Jack Odor, P.E., GAS.P. <br />Linda Bassi, AGO <br /> <br />L: 14bSept98 <br /> <br />2 <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />-~ <br />
