I

I

MR. STAPLETON:

MR. SPARKS:

jbtH

one in active status at the present time is the
flood control for Skunk Creek. Boulder. In a
previous report to the Board we pointed out
that detailed studies relating to the potential
flood control project on Skunk Creek at Boulder
had been suspended at the request of the National
Bureau of Standards pending completion of their
master plan studies for Boulder Laboratories.
We have been informed that their master plan
report is scheduled for completion about mid-
December. Early last week their Mr. Hendrickson
came down to visit us for two days to go into
great detail in the scope of the project and its
potential effects on their master plans. I
assume they will resume this study shortly.

That is about all the Omaha District has
to report at this time."

"Thank you. We will try to clear our agenda
of all other items by that time and give an
opportunity for more interested parties to corne
up. so if you have other desires in the Denver
area until that time. we make the announcement
now.

The next item is the Director's Report and
I know he and his staff have been busy and I'd
like Larry to make that now."

"I'll take these a little out of order. Mr.
Chairman.

First. I'll discuss the current budget
situation. All of the departments of the state
government have been instructed to economize as
much as possible. As a matter of fact. an
economy was effected for us in that 10% of our
