surveyors to sites by helicopter. Contracts on
the Fry-Ark have been awarded for aerial surveys
for Turquoise, Twin Lake and Pueblo Reservoirs.
Air Photo Service at Grand Junction was awarded
the contract for Turquoise and Twin Lakes, and
International Aerial Mapping Company of San
Antonio, Texas was awarded the contract for the
Pueblo Reservoir.

A contract was awarded to the Lewis Drilling
Company of Pueblo, for foundation exploration
and for determining water table elevations in
the vicinity of Sugar Loaf Dam which is the
dam for Turquoise Lake.

Exploration for construction materials is
continuing at the Ruedi Dam and Sugar Loaf Dam
sites.

Work continued in developing the program
and criteria for automatic data processing of
water and power studies concerning integration
of the Fry-Ark Project and the Homestake Project.
This means they are going to program them on the
electronic computer.

The Fryingpan-Arkansas Project now has 105
employees; 39 at Pueblo, 49 in the vicinity of
Basalt and 17 located at Buena Vista, Colorado.

"Mr. Greer, on the Upper South Platte Unit,
one of the problems in the South Platte area,
as you well know, is the area generally south
of Wiggins, particularly around the Hoyt, that
has a well developed irrigated area, I'd say
up to 15,000 acres. It is in a critical state
and I am informed will ultimately require some
recharge or supplemental water. My question is,
at what stage of the Upper South Platte investi-
gation can there be included investigation of
some help for those people out of what might
otherwise be flood waters?"
