an estimate of Two Forks Dam and we have a
proposal for flood control of Bear, Turkey, and
Clear Creeks and we are working on a possible
storage site out east of Barr Lake. The report,
as we visualize it, will contain an inventory of
the potential water developments on the tribu-
taries and better information, reconnaissance
type data the way the Bureau classifies it, on
the main stem developments. The major feature
on the main stem would be the Two Forks Reser-
voir in the South Platte Canyon above Denver.
We presently think it might contain a capacity
of 800,000 acre-feet and would be formed by a
concrete arch dam about 500 feet high. The
study must establish the location of this dam
and the possibility of an afterbay below the dam
so that construction presently being planned by
Denver and Aurora can complement the best Two
Forks plan rather than conflict with it. The
main stem analysis will consider municipal and
industrial needs, routing of water through
Denver, utilization of municipal return flows
and sewage effluents. It seems storage below
Denver will be required and it appears that
offstream storage might be better than onstream.

We held a meeting with the Chief Engineer
to establish the procedure for Obtaining the
data for making the estimate of the Two Forks
Dam. Our geologists and designers are inspect-
ing the site today again.

On the Fryingpan-Arkansas Project, final
approval of Ruedi Dam and Reservoir site was
made by the Commissioner after the appraisal of
the consultant board appointed by the Secretary
of the Interior.

Design data is being accumulated for the
county road around the reservoir for submission
to the Chief Engineer.

Triangulation points have been established
and checked for the Divide Tunnel of the Frying-
pan-Arkansas Project. This was done by importing
personnel from Grand Island, Nebraska, using the
