"Do any members of the Board have any
questions?"

"Mr. Chairman, I have a couple of ques-
tions. First of all, Mr. Schleusener, you
said Grove~ on the east, I take it from the
map you showed there, you meant Grover on
the west."

"That's correct, sir. When I said
Grover to the east, I was wrong. I meant
from Grover towards the east to the Nebraska
line."

"In talking about northeastern Colorado
which to some of us means, let's say, the
South Platte Basin, which the limit is, as
I get it, parts of Morgan, Logan, Washington
and Sedgwick Counties."

"It includes Phillips County and it
also includes part of the eastern part of
Weld County."

"You don't go very far into Weld County."

"That's correct, sir, it's only on the
eastern border."

"Now I'm interested in this $65,000
after having had some experience trying to
raise money for water matters. I'm sure
Mr. Barnard here has had the same thing.
This is extraneous from the merits of .this
matter but we had quite a little time get-
ting $100,000 from the Legislature and we'd
like to know the secret of where you got
$65,000 from an area which is rather
limited and might, I would say, be consid-
ered as a whole in Colorado, not too wealthy."

that I didn't have anything to do with the
raising of the money, but I am familiar
with the area .and with some of the people
involved, and I think I can describe to
you how this Came about.
