<br />. <br /> <br />4.2 <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />may grant variances from the prOVISIons of these <br />regulations and receive appeals for permits denied by <br />the Administrator. It may uphold denials of permits by <br />the Administrator or overturn denials and grant permit, <br />in accordance with the provisions of Section 4.3 of <br />these regulations. The 80ard of Adjustment may make <br />recommendations to the Permit Authority, but it shall <br />not have the authority to overturn decisions of the <br />Permit Authority. <br /> <br />Floodplain Development Permit <br />4.2.1 Requirement to Have A Permit <br /> <br />Floodplain Development Permits will be required for <br />any development within a Floodprone District or a <br />Designated Floodpl~in District and shall be issued <br />by the Administrator, Permit Authority, or 80ard of <br />Adjustment, as appropriate, upon compliance with <br />the terms of these regulations. The (local <br />buildinq official) shall be notified of all <br />applications for Floodplain Development Permits. <br /> <br />4.2.2 <br /> <br />Application Requir@ments <br /> <br />1~e/~pplitallt/it/t~/pr0~ide/a/detailed/dettripfi011/ <br />0f/f~e/~r0P0ted/fl~0dplaill/de~eI0P~ellt/~t/re~lIlired/ <br />011/t~e/YI00~plaill/~er~it/~pplitati011' <br />Application for a floodplain development permit <br />shall be made on forms furnished by the <br />(Local Administrator) and may include, but <br />not be limited to: Plans in duplicate drawn to scale <br />showing the nature, locations, dimensions, and <br />elevations of the area in question; existing or <br />proposed structures, fill, storage of materials, <br />drainage facilities; and the location of the <br />foregoing. Specifically, the following information <br />is required: <br /> <br />(1) Elevation in relation to mean sea level of the <br />lowest floor (including basement) of all <br />structures; <br /> <br />(2) Elevation in relation to mean sea level to which <br />any structure has been floodproofed; <br /> <br />(3) Certification by a registered professional <br />engineer or architect that the floodproofing <br />methods for any non-residential structure meet <br />the floodproofing criteria as set forth in this <br />ordinance and, <br /> <br />-25- <br />
