<br />the Designated Floodplain District is equivalent to <br />the 100-year floodplain in fEMA's flood Insurance <br />Study (FrS). <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />2.3.2 Adoption of Official Maps <br /> <br />2.3.2.1 The (local planninq commission, appropriate <br />entity) shall review the maps proposed for <br />official adoption and present to the (Board of <br />County Commi~sioners, City Council, Board of <br />Trustees) its recommendations for adoption, <br />rejections, or adoption with modification of <br />maps. <br /> <br />2.3.2.2 Maps delineating Floodprone Districts, <br />Designated Floodplain Districts, tllll~r <br />Y100dplaill Flood Conveyance Subdistricts, <br />and 0l1lter/YI~0dplaill Flood Storage <br />Subdistricts to be regulated together with <br />reports and other supporting materials, shall <br />be officially adopted by the (Board of County <br />Commissioners, City Council, Board of <br />Trustees) as part of these regulations only <br />after a) legal notification to the public, b) <br />official ~pproval and designation of the base <br />flood data and information by the Colorado . <br />Water Conservation Board, as provided in <br />Sections 30-28-11, and 24-65.1-403(3)(6), CRS <br />1973, as amended, c) review by the Federal <br />Illtlllrallte/Ad~illittrati011 Emergency <br />Management Agency, d) publication in full of <br />the ordinance(s) adopting such maps and <br />supporting materials, e) filing of not less <br />than 3 copies of such adopting ordinance with <br />the (local qovernment) (count y, ci t y, town) <br />clerk at least 15 days before the public <br />hearing, and e) public hearing. After <br />adoption of such maps and supporting materials <br />at least one copy of the adopting <br />ordinances(s) shall be kept on file with the <br />administrator; in addition, copies of such <br />adopting ordinance(s) shall be available from <br />the (local qovernrnent) (county, city, town) <br />clerk. <br /> <br />2.4 Interpretation of Offici~l Maps - Where interpretation is <br />needed as to the exact 10cQtion of the boundaries of <br />floodplains or subdivisions thereof, the Administrator <br />shall make the necessary interpretation by referring, as <br />necessary, to the engineering study upon which the maps <br />and elevations are based, to the professional engineers <br />who prepared the study, to the Colorado Water Conservation . <br />Board, and/or the Federal Emergency Management Agency.
