SECTION 2.0 - GENERAL PROVISIONS

2.1 Lands to Which These Requlations Apply - These regulations
apply to all lands within the jurisdiction of il2sal
government) which are shown on the Official Maps as being
within the Floodprone District (FPD) or the Designated
Floodplain District (DFD).

2.2 Establishment of Zoninq Districts - The floodplains under
the jurisdiction of (local qovernment) shall be divided
into the following districts:

2.2.1 Floodprone District (FPD) - All That area in
t~e and adjacent to a stream or other water
course subject to flooding which is an
approximation of the area inundated by the base
flood as defined in Section 1.4.

2.2.2 Desiqnated Floodplain District (DFD) - That area
which has been designated as a floodplain by
official action of the (local qoverninq body),
which is subject to flooding as a result of the
base flood, as defined in Section 1.4.

2.3 Official Maps - The floodplains under the jurisdiction of
(local qovernment), are identified in: (list map~
reports, studies, and data). The said maps and reports,
together with all explanatory matter, water surface
elevations, profiles, and cross-sections, where available,
and all amendments thereto, shall be as much a part or
these regulations as if fully set forth and described
herein. For the purposes of the National Flood Insurance
Program (NFIP) the floodplains under the jurisdiction of
(local government), are identified in the scientific and
engineering report entitled "The Flood Insurance Study"
for the (local qovernment) dated , 19__, with an
accompanying Flood Insurance Rate Map (FIRM) and is hereby
adopted by reference and declared to be a part of this
ordinance. The Flood Insurance Study and FIRM are on file
at (Address of Study and Map Repositorv)

2.3.1 District Locations and Boundaries - The location
and boundaries of the Floodprone Distri~ts, the
Designated Floodplain Districts, the lllller/
Y100dpliill Flood Conveyance Subdistricts, and
the 011lter/Yl00dplaill Flood Storage
Subdistricts, as delineated on the Official Maps
and as established pursuant to this Section 2.3 of
these regulations, are hereby incorporated into
these regulations. For the purpose of the
National Flood Insurance Program, (NFIP) the
Floodprone District is equivalent to "areas of
special flood hazard" designated as "Zone A", and
