.

an approximation of the area inundated by the base flood,
and for which water surface elevations have not been
determined, and which has been designated by the Colorado
Water Conservation Board, as required by the state
statute. These areas are equivalent to "areas of special
flood hazard" designated as "Zone A" on Federal ZlItlllrallte
Ad~illittrati01\ Emergency Management Agency Flood Hazard
Boundary Maps (FHBM) and Flood Insurance Rate Maps (FIRM),
and as "Flood Prone Areas" on U.S. Geological Survey Flood
Pl"one Area Maps.
