Motion was approved (8-0). <br /> <br />l4.b Resolution Supporting 100th Anniversaries - Bureau of Reclamation <br />Track 3, Start/Stop: 3:20: 15-3:21:53 <br />Action: A motion was made to approve a resolution honoring the 100th Anniversary of <br />the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation and Reclamation Projects in Southwestern <br />Colorado was made by Bob Burr and seconded by Carolyn McIntosh. Motion <br />was approved (8-0). <br /> <br />Meeting Adjourned 5:20 <br />Tuesday, May 21, 2002 <br /> <br />Call to Order <br /> <br />15. <br /> <br />8:00 a.m. <br />A regular meeting of the Colorado Water Conservation Board was reconvened <br />at the Northeastern Junior College, Hays Student Center, 100 College Drive, <br />Room 230, Sterling, Colorado 80751 on May 21, 2002. The meeting was <br />called to order by Chairman Don Schwindt. Eight voting members were <br />present at the call to order so a quorum was present (at least six required). <br />Other Board members present on this date were Ray Wright, Eric Wilkinson, <br />David Smith, Harold Miskel, Bob Burr, Carolyn McIntosh, Agriculture <br />Commissioner Don Ament, State Engineer Hal Simpson, Deputy Attorney <br />General Felicity Hannay, and CWCB Director Rod Kuharich. Others present <br />included DNR Assistant Director Kent Holsinger and First Assistant Attorney <br />General Linda Bassi. <br /> <br />Drought Emergency Response <br />Track 4, Start/Stop: <br />Action: Information item; no formal action taken. <br /> <br />0000-1 :33 :56 <br /> <br />16. Stream and Lake Protection - Uncontested Instream Flow and Natur al Lake Level <br />Track 4, Start/Stop: 1 :47:30-2:00: 17 <br />Action: A motion was made by Carolyn McIntosh and seconded by Ray Wright and <br />approved (8-0) to adopt the following: <br /> <br />Water Division 1 and 4 <br />1. Determine based upon the recommendation of the CDOW and/or the <br />BLM, a review of the data and other information presented by the staff for <br />in stream flow and natural lake level appropriations on the streams and <br />lakes identified that: a) A natural environment does exist on each stream <br />and lake; b) Water is available in each stream and lake for appropriation; <br />c) The natural environment will be preserved to a reasonable degree by the <br />Flood Protection.
