from Attorney General Dunbar which I should

MR. CRAWFORD:

"I have two letters regarding this sub-
ject which I would like to read to the Board."

MR. PETERSON:

"Mr. Chairman is the Governor planning on
being here this morning?"

rm. CRAWFORD:

"I don't know."

"I understand that he will be and that
he has a definite statement to make. Could
we postpone this question until such time as
the Governor may be here?"

JVlR. MOSES:

"Certainly we can postpone this until
tha t time.

gress report from the Bureau of Reclamation."

Collbran Project

Approval of the definite plan report by the Commissioner
and the commencement of negotiations on the repayment contract are
expected momentarily which should clear the way for start of con-
struction on Vega Dam, the initial construction feature. $1,000,000
has been appropriated for this purpose following execution of a re-
payment contract.

Some concern had been expressed as to whether power pro-
duction could be marketed at the 8.3 mill rate needed for power
repayment; however, definite commitments have been received from
prospective power users which, in our opinion, assure sale of the
project power. Outside of several minor changes in the proposed
repayment contract that have been suggested by the Solicitor's
