program has been written in a very general
form in that it is not necessarily restricted
to the La Junta-Las Animas reach. It could
be applied just as well to the San Luis Valley,
the South platte, or the High plains, or any
other area - even somewhere outside of Colo-
rado.

The problem is that the input data for
this model would be the same required for
the electric analog. In other words, the
description of the aquifer, the description
of the hydrologic situation, and thus it
could not be applied in an area in which we
do not have that data available.

We are now in the process of refinement
of this model, very similar to what they are
doing in regards to refinement on the electric
analog. We have now refined our input data
to this and will have another runback this
week, we hope. We are utilizing the data
processing equipment at the University which
is interconnected with the Western Data
processing of the University of California,
Los Angeles. We have experienced a small time
lag in the last couple of weeks in our com-
puting facilities because they have got down
time and therefore haven't progressed quite
as fast as we had hoped."
