"Leonard, I have one question. Do you
have any idea how the program is going at
C.S.U. on the possibility of some of this data
being derived by computer data processing type
of operation in comparison with this analog?"

"Yes, sir. very sketchily, I do know
that they took some of our data for the 24-
mile reach between La Junta and Las Animas
and programed it on a computer. I think one
of their graduate students is doing this as
an exercise. The last time I talked to the
people there, they had received some of the
data back from the mathematical model, the
digital computer, and at that time they
hadn't plotted it up but I understand they
were planning to plot it up and probably would
have to make some changes in the program and
then rework it. I don't know what stage it is
in now.ll

I would just make one comment here. I didn't
hear quite all of Leonard's last remarks but
we have utilized the data provided to us by
the U.S.G.S. for this 24-mile reach between
La Junta and Las Animas, using a mathematical
