project would provide a supplemental water
supply to 25,600 acres of land inadequately
irrigated and a full water supply to 46,520
acres of new land, including 7,520 acres of
Indian lands. About 76,200 acre-feet of water
annually would be available for municipal and
industrial use. The project would also pro-
vide benefits for recreation and fish and
wildlife.

The Dolores project feasibility report
has been approved by the Bureau of the Budget
and submitted to the Congress.

Following the usual review at the field
level, the Dallas Creek project proposed
report was revised. On March 11, 1966, the
feasibility report was circulated for review
under provisions of the Flood Control Act of
1944.

The West Divide project feasibility
report is in essentially the same status as
the Dallas Creel, report. The report was
circulated for review under provisions of the
Flood Control Act of 1944.

On March 11, 1966, the San Miguel feasi-
billity report was circulated for review under
provisions of the Flood Control Act of 1944.

On the Basalt project the contractor has
initiated work for aerial topographic mapping
of the Basalt conduit. Funds for this work
were contributed by the State.

Agricultural economy, water supply
studies, geologic studies, and preparation
of design data for project canals are in I
progress on the Battlement Mesa project.
Design data for Owens Dam, Buzzard Creek Dam,
and the Colorado Canal and Diversion Dam has
been completed preparatory to undertaking
feasibility designs and estimates. A proposed
feasibility report is scheduled for completion
in mid FY 1967.
