WETP ACK <br /> <br />Authorization: ~ounty: Montezuma <br />Water Source: Dolores River Project Yield: 7,840 acre-feet <br />Terms of Loan: $7,260,000 @3.50% for 30-years Project Type: Distribution System <br /> <br />The District's WETPACK ( Water for Everyone Tomorrow Package) proposal is intended to better <br />manage the available resources of the Dolores Project to provide an additional 3,300 acre-feet of water for the <br />fishery below McPhee Dam, increase municipal water. supplies, and to provide water of the irrigation of <br />additional lands. This project involves a system of pipelines, pumps, and related facilities to deliver water to <br />the District's Dove Creek Canal system for the irrigation of 4,000 acres of new lands that are presently dry <br />land farmed. Water will be delivered to irrigators in pipes under pressure for sprinkler irrigation only. <br />Harris Water Engineers, of Durango, Colorado, is the planning and design consultant for the project. <br /> <br />IS. Kenosha Trout Club - Lininl!"er Lake Dam Rehabilitation and Water Purchase <br /> <br />Authorization: County: Park <br />Water Source: Beaver Creek Project Yield: 156 acre.feet <br />Terms of Loan: $600,000 @5.50% for 30-years Project Type: Dam Rehabilitation <br /> <br />12 <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />The Kenosha Trout Club is located 8 miles southwest of the Town of Grant, near Kenosha Pass. Lininger <br />Lake, which is used for fish, wildlife, and recreation purposes by subdivision residents, is supplied by a junior <br />water right that cannot be filled unless its consumptive use due to evaporation is replaced. The estimated <br />average annual divertable volume is 110 acre-feet, and the evaporative loss needing augmentation is 46 acre. <br />feet. The Association plans on purchasing senior water ~ightS that are suitable for augmentation. Dam <br />improvements include installing a low level outlet structure and raising the crest of the dam approximately 12. <br />inches. Leonard Rice Consulting Water Engineers completed the feasibility study. Dam improvements are . <br />tentatively scheduled for the Fall of200l. <br /> <br />16. Sup~ly Irrigation Ditch Company - Knoth Reservoir Dam Rehabilitation <br /> <br />Authorization: County: Boulder- N.E. of Lyons <br />Water Source: 81. Vrain Creek Project Yield: 9,500 acre.feet <br />Terms of Loan: $1,700,000 @3.50% for 30.years :Project Type: Dam Rehabilitation <br /> <br />The Supply Irrigation Ditch Company is proposipg to rehabilitate the Knoth Reservoir for use as an <br />equalizer, and for storage under a conditional decree for i542 acre-feet. The average annual volume diverted <br />now is 9,500 acre-feet, which will be increased to 10,04Q acre.feet with the project improvements in place. <br />The planned improvements include, reshaping the upstre~m face of the dams and the placement of clay, <br />installation of a toe drain, construction of 200 foot long Spillway, placement of rip rap, raising the dam crest on <br />both dams to gage height 30-ft., removal of two abandoned outlets, and the repair of the existing outlet to a <br />good working condition. The proposed improvements ate being designed by Smith Geotechnical, of Fort <br />Collins, Colorado, and are planned to be constructed in the Fall/Winter of 200 1/02. <br /> <br />. <br />
