I On the Scuth Platte Basin, Clear Creek near Golden indicates what h~ppened tc part cf the basin. The South platte extends sc far alcng the frcnt there that there is quite a variation but I think the 58 percent at Gclden is prcbably representative cf the Scuth Platte drainage. Ycu will notice in Mr. crandall's repcrt that they had estimated the runcff to Glen Canycn wculd be abcut 76 percent cf ncrmal for the water year. We have co~puted it fer Roaring Fork at Glenwood Springs and fer the first 11 mcnths it comes cut 77 percent. SC those figures are in very close agreement. I New gaging stations have been installed on Rock, Bculder, Slate, Black, and Cataract Creeks in the Blue River basin and en Chapman Gulch in the Fryingpan River basin. Additicnal stations will be installed on Fish Creek and Scuth Fcrk Elk River in the Yampa River basin. These will be in connection with the Bureau cf Reclamation atomospheric water rescurces pro- gram. There were three staticns put in in that area last summer and these twc will be added. They will be first class staticns with prcvi- sicn for collecting winter records with ccvered ccntrcls and heat provided. Another staticn will be installed on the Fryingpan River at Meredith and another station on the Cclcrado River at De Beque. The station on Half Moon Creek near M~lta will he rebuilt to meet the standards fer a hydrologic bench mark. This is a term that we UEe for a typical station that has been established at pcints that will reccrd runcff in natural areas. Sites are selected where it is expected there will be little or nc change in the basin and eventually we will collect several different types cf data frcm these gaging stations. We have cne here in the Durango area on Vallecitc C~eek abcve the reservoir, just above the camp site up there. That one has been in cperation fer abcut three years new.
