There is nc representative present but I am
sure there are scme comments that the Directcr
wculd like to make en this agenda item."

MR. SPARl<S:

"The Closed Basin Divisicn project was
approved by this Board, as ycu will recall,
some twc years age and it's abcut the cnly
thing pending at the present time. It's still
in the Bureau of the Budget and has not been
transmitted to the Congress. We have no inform-
ation as to when it may be transmitted. There
has not been much effort, up tc this pcint, tc
get it cut cf the Bureau cf the Budget.

The cne ether prcject that I don't see
mentioned here is the Ric Grande Salvage. ~le
have a preliminary report on that project.

"The following is offered in response to your request for
a resume cf activities and status cf Region 5 projects to be re-
pcrted at the September 23, 1966, Beard meeting.

The report cf the Secretary cf the Interior en the Closed
Basin Division, San Luis Valley project, Cclcradc, was transmitted
on August 19, 1965, to the President through the Bureau of the Bud-
get. This repcrt has been released by the Bureau of the Budget for
transmittal.tc congress.
