a pcssible starting date fer the Juniper
studies?"

"well, to be real specific, nc, but we have
it in our long-range prcgrarn I think to begin
in FY 1970 which wculd be after the 1st cf
July, 1969. It wculd be tW9 years and a half frcm
new. There has been a reccnnaissance repcr~.
We are talking abcut a feasibility repcrt. It's
scheduled that way but, cf ccurse, we are sub-
ject tc appropriaticn acts by the Ccngress and
ho,"/' well we de en ether studies and ,"/'hen you get
that far away there are influences that might
have a bearing en cur actual date."

"Nr. Chairman, at Salt Lake I called atten-
ticn to the fact that in Public Law 485 Juniper
was given the distinction of being, (called to
the attention cf those whc were interested),
given a very early study as tc feasibility and
everything else. That is a paragraph in 485
and Juniper dcesn't share that with anybody.
It stands cut there alone in a paragraph in
485. Sc Ccngress has really asked that these
surveys and investigaticns, all of those things,
sc far as Juniper is ccncerned, be ccmpleted at
an early time. I called attenticn at Salt Lake
