A prcposed feasibility report is scheduled fer
ccmpleticn this fiscal year.

I

Feasibility investigations are continuing
en the Upper Gunnison prcject. Field wcrk on
land classification was ccmpleted last summer
for all areas except the Cochetcpa Creek area
new being classified. About 75 percent of the
cffice wcrk transferring land areas from photo-
graphs tc cffice sheets was completed last win-
ter. In additicn tc land classificaticn and
drainage, scme work is being accomplished en
plan formulation and water supply studies.

Tcpcgraphic maps for the conduit on the
Basalt Project have been received from the ccn-
tractcr. The mapping was accomplished with
funds made available by the state cf Coloradc.
The current FY 1967 prcgram will include an
additicnal $10,000 ccntributicn by the state.
These funds will enable land classificaticn
work tc be started this fiscal year instead cf
in FY 1969 as previcusly prcgramed.

I

Under cur advance planning prcgram, Fruit-
land Mesa Project is receiving priority tc permit
ccmpletion cf a definite plan report in December
1966. The diversicn site en
Curecanti Creek may alsc be moved dcwnstream
below Commissary Gulch in crder to imprcve the
project water supply. Some foundaticn drilling
for specification design at Scap Park Damsite
has been done but funds are insufficient this
fiscal year tc ccmplete all of the drilling prc-
gram desired by the Chief Engineer. t<l'ater
supply st~dies are currently being revised tc
determine whether scme adjustment in prcject
acreage cr prcject plan will be necessary.

Land classificaticn and drainage studies en
the Savery-pot Heck Project are ccntinuing.
Field work fer land classificaticn and drainage
