Guenzi Farms, Inc. - Well Augmentation Project <br />Authorization: Severance Tax Fund County: Logan <br />Water Source: South Platte River Project Yield: 2,000 acre-feet <br />Terms of Loan: $331,425 @2.5%for30-years Project Type: Well Augmentation <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />The Guenzi's currently irrigate 2,600 acres of farmland, by means of flood irrigation and by the operation of 31 <br />wells. These wells produce a summertime depletion of approximately 1,510 acre-feet and a wintertime depletion <br />of 960 acre-feet. This project involves the purchase of a new farm with augmentation improvements in-place and <br />the construction of a new recharge well, 2100-ft. of 12-inch PVC pipe and 4,500-ft. of 2 I-inch PVC Pipe, and <br />various recharge ponds on their existing farm, to cover their depletions. Project design has been completed and the <br />project is currently under construction. The project is anticipated to be complete by March of 2005. <br /> <br />9. Town ofKremmling - Raw Water Supply System <br />Authorization: Construction Fund County: Grand <br />Water Source: Colorado River Project Yield: 400 acre-feet <br />Terms of Loan: $1,689,750 @4.25% for 30-years Project Type: Raw Water Supply <br /> <br />This $1,616,320 project involves the construction of a raw water supply pipeline from the Colorado River to the <br />Jones No, 2 Reservoir. The pipeline project will allow the Town of Kremmling to access their conditional 3 cfs <br />flow right out of the Colorado River, which will be stored at Jones No.2 Reservoir and used to augment the towns <br />current water supply. The project involves the construction of 12,000 feet of pipe, low and high lift pump stations, <br />and low and high lift forcemains. The project was bid in the winter of 2004, and was awarded to Duckels <br />Construction, Steamboat, Colorado. The project is currently under construction and is approximately 65% <br />complete. The Contractor has encountered complications with the bore site, which most likely will require a new <br />bore. The Town is currently negotiating with the Contractor and the Engineer to develop a plan to address this <br />situation, given the severity of the problem and the potential cost overruns. Project substantial completion is <br />scheduled for September of2005. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />10. Summit Reservoir and Irrigation Company - System Rehabilitation <br />Authoriz~tion: SB-97-008 County: Montezuma - NE of Cortez <br />Water Source: Lost Canyon Creek Project Yield: 4,287 ac. ft. <br />Terms ofLoai1: $300,000@3.75% for 30-years Project Type: Reservoir and Ditch Rehab. <br /> <br />This $270,000 project is the rehabilitation of the Summit Reservoir Dam outlet works and the repair and <br />improvements to the Summit Reservoir and Irrigation Company's water collection and distribution facilities. The <br />Cortez office of Natural Resource Conservation Service prepared the construction plans and specifications. <br />Construction for the Walker Drops improvements commenced in March of 1999, by Noland, Inc., of Mancos, CO., <br />and was completed in July of 1999. The second to last phase of the project was completed in October of 200 I. <br />That final remaining phase of the project is anticipated to be complete by the fall of 2005. <br /> <br />II. Springdale Ditch Company - Well Augmentation Project <br />Authorization: Construction Fund County: Logan - Near Sterling <br />Water Source: South Platte Basin Project Yield: 10,647 acre-feet <br />Terms of Loan: $135,000 @2,75%for30-years Project Type: Well Augmentation <br /> <br />. <br />
