<br />bLUb <br /> <br />Operations <br /> <br />Pine River Watershed (La Plata and Archuleta Counties) <br /> <br />TWo floodwater-retarding dams, two sections of the canal realign- <br />ment, and two water control structures have been completed on <br />this 58,000 acre project at a cost of $207,000. Construction of <br />7 more water control structures in Archuleta county is planned <br />for this fall using a $30,000 supplemental grant from the Four <br />Corners Regional Commission together with funds provided by the <br />SCS Small Watershed Act funds and the pine River Canal Company. <br />More than 100 farmers will benefit from these irrigation improve- <br />ments and about half the beneficiaries are Southern ute Indians <br />and Spanish American farmers and ranchers. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Home Supply Watershed (Larimer and Weld Counties) <br /> <br />TWo contracts for the consolidation of portions of the Consoli- <br />dated Home Supply and Handy Canals and for related structures <br />totaling about $310,000 have been completed. Three contracts <br />for the construction of the 5,200 acre-feet irrigation and flood <br />detention storage reservoir, reservoir inlet structure and outlet <br />pipeline have been completed at a cost of $479,000. Field and <br />office design is in progress for many smaller structures and <br />4,700 feet more canal lining. <br /> <br />Louden Watershed (Larimer county) <br /> <br />This is primarily a water management project compr~s~ng 20,000 <br />acres near Loveland, Colorado for the rehabilitation of the <br />Louden irrigation system.
