<br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />O~UI <br /> <br />Planninq <br /> <br />Canon Watershed <br /> <br />The Agricultural Committees have approved the watershed work plan. <br />It is now awaiting operations approval by SCS. No construction <br />funds available as yet due to Bud~et Bureau stop order. <br /> <br />Runninq Creek Watershed <br /> <br />Sponsors have requested a new cost and land rights study for a <br />water resource development, consisting of public recreation and <br />a fishing and wildlife development in floodwater retarding <br />structure RC-3. <br /> <br />Box Elder Creek <br /> <br />Recent progress in land rights acquisitions will support request- <br />ing authorization for the development of a watershed work plan. <br /> <br />Sedqwick-Sand Draw Watershed <br /> <br />Sponsors are considering formation of a Conservancy District to <br />provide funds for project installation and land rights obliqa- <br />tions. A serious flood August 14 may give impetus to the circu- <br />lation of petitions and consideration to requesting authority <br />for development of a watershed work plan. <br /> <br />Black Squirrel Watershed <br /> <br />Under study is a water resource development for recreation and <br />fish and wildlife in floodwater retarding structure B-5. SeNe <br />progress is being made in the acquisition of land rights. A <br />draft work plan is scheduled for November 1968. <br /> <br />Plum Creek, Cucharas Creek and Western Canal Watersheds <br /> <br />Preliminary investigations are continuing on these watersheds. <br /> <br />Crooked Arrovo, Eaton and Coal Creek Watersheds <br /> <br />These studies are temporarily suspended pending further sponsor <br />action. <br />
