County reservoir sites. We have been waiting on
some flood control studies from the Corps of
Engineers and in talking to them in Omaha yes-
terday, they promised me that we will have those
the first of the week. So with that, and the
information we are developing, we should be able
to make a choice between those two sites and
move ahead with that part of the study.

As you know, we have a study scheduled -
an investigation scheduled - for the Cache la
poudre area which is to start as soon as con-
gressional appropriations are made, if they are
made, and we have no reason to believe they will
not be at this time. They are in the budget at
any rate. We have been doing some preliminary
work with the water users in that area. They
have appointed a steering committee and we met
wi th them on the 2nd of this month and outlined
some items on which they could be working to
crystallize the interest in that area so that
when we are ready to move ahead with the study,
we will know pretty well what direction we are
going.

That is the report for the Denver DevelOp-
ment Office. I don't know whether Mr. Knights
has anything to add or not for other activities
in Region 7."

"There are a few items that are not handled
by the Denver Development Office which are of
interest to Colorado and are in the Colorado
area of Region 7. Principally those are matters
of contractual negotiations which we are carry-
ing on for use of unused capacity of the Colo-
rado-Big Thompson transportation system by other
owners of water. The Board knows the proposi-
tion to contract for water out of Green Mountain
Reservoir and those negotiations are in progress.
There is nothing in particular that I can report
on them at this time except that they are
active.tI
