If you will refer to a <br />memorandum dated August 27th from Larry, he <br />suggested that a resolution in the following <br />general terms be adopted: <br /> <br />'RESOLVEP that Region 4, Bureau of <br />Reclamation, be requested to conduct the <br />necessary feasibility investigations of the <br />Cattle Creek and Sopris projects as partici- <br />pating projects under Public Law 485 as set <br />forth in the supplemental Fryingpan-Arkansas <br />Project report now being prepared, and that <br />such investigations commence within a period <br />of two years from the date of Congressional <br />authorization of the Fryingpan-Arkansas Proj- <br />ect with a view of completing such investiga- <br />tions, if possible, prior to the construction <br />of the Fryingpan-Arkansas Project.' <br /> <br />Larry, will you bring us up to date on <br />this resolution?" <br /> <br />"The supplemental report on the Frying- <br />pan-Arkansas Project has been prepared and <br />the final review on that report will be done <br />tomorrow morning in Denver at the office of <br />Region 7. -We don't anticipate there will be <br />any difficulty with the project report. The report is <br />very favorable, showing a benefit-cost ratio <br />on the Ruedi Re'ser-voir of a little better <br />than 3 to 1. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Included in that report is a reconnais- <br />sance summary of two possible irrigation <br />projects which could utilize water from the <br />Ruedi Reservoir.
