<br />Staff Recommendation - Staff recommends that the Small Project Loan to the Town of Pagosa <br />Springs (Pagosa Springs Pipeline Company) be de-authorized by the CWCB at this time. . <br /> <br />j) Town of Paonia - New Reservoir Constmction - The Town of Paonia has an <br />authorization in HB 95-1155 for a Constmction Fund loan of :5600,000 for a new raw water <br />reservoir. One of the conditions of Board approval was the completion of a feasibility study. The <br />Town and their consultants are in the process of conducting the feasibility study of alternative <br />storage sites. The study will be completed in mid-2001 Attached is a letter from the Town <br />requesting that the existing authorization be continued. <br /> <br />Staff Recommendation - Staff recommends that the existing authorization in HB 95-1155 for the <br />Town ofPaonia new reservoir project be continued for another year. <br /> <br />k) Pine River Irrigation District !Vallecito Water Companv) - Raw Water Diversion Proiect <br />- A Construction Fund loan of :5341 ,000 was authorized in SB 97-008 for construction of a raw <br />water diversion for the Vallecito Water Company. The District has completed preliminary <br />engineering and has commitments for 58.6 million in financing. The target start construction date <br />is July 2001 The District has requested the loan not be deauthorized at this time. <br /> <br />Staff Recommendation - Staff recommends that the Pine River Irrigation District (Vallecito <br />Water Company) project, as authorized in SB 97-008, be continued at this time. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />I) Powder~L~~._,je'~C' i>otriCl i Utilitv Enterprise - Robbins Reser/oir Rehabilitation- <br />Construction Fund loan of 5525,000 Vias authorized in SB 97-008 for rehabilitation of tne <br />Robbins Reservoir Darn. The District has completed the feasibility study, and will complete a <br />Master Plan by March 2001 Final planning and design for the Robbins Reservoir project will <br />then be completed, with a target construction date of summer 2002. The District has requested <br />the loan not be deauthorized at this time. <br /> <br />Staff Recommendation - Staff recommends that the Powderhorn Metro District I Utility <br />Enterprise, as authorized in SB 97-008, be continued at this time. <br /> <br />m) Redmesa Ward Reservoir - Redmesa Ward Reservoir Rehabilitation/Enlargement - " <br />The Redmesa Ward Reservoir and Ditch Company of Hesperus has an authorization in HB 95- <br />1155 for a Construction Fund loan of 52,250,000 for the rehabilitation and enlargement of <br />Redmesa Ward Reservoir. A condition of Board approval is submittal of an acceptable feasibility <br />study. The feasibility study has not been completed but discussions with the project sponsor and <br />their consultant indicate that the project is not financially feasible at the present time. In addition, <br />it does not appear as if water rights concerns can be resolved in the near future. The Company <br />has therefore verbally agreed to relinquish the loan authorization. <br /> <br />Staff Recommendation Staff recommends that the Redmesa Ward Reservoir <br />Rehabilitation/Enlargement Project in HB 95-1155 be de-authorized. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />4 <br />
