I might add just a little bit to it,
Dave. You can correct me if I'm wrong, but
we are running into some unexpected delays
on construction, not only here in Colorado,
but nation-wide, as far as projects are con-
cerned. Those delays are being occasioned as a
result of the emphasis on the undeclared war
in viet Nam.

I spent most of the month of Hay in
Washington in connection with current legisla-
tion there. I had several conferences with
Commissioner Dominy and his staff about the
construction program in Colorado. It was
originally planned tl1at bids on Crystal, the
last unit of the Curecanti project, would be
let during this past spring and that bids
similarly would be let for the construction
of the Bostwick Park project this last spring.
But there has been an order from the Adminis-
tration to slow down federal spending which
has caught Us in the reclamation program. At
this time it is definite that no bids will be
let on Crystal Dam this year. HO\olever, there
was a promise made tl1at a contract would be let
for the construction of the Bostwick Park Proj-
ect sometime this summer or early in the fall.
So in both cases of crystal and Bostwick Park
we are falling a year behind.

This slowdown is affecting us, to some
extent, on all projects. However, for the
authorized projects 1'Ie have still to be con-
structed, the Savery-Pot Hook and Fruitland
Mesa, the definite plan formulation is proceed-
ing pretty much according to schedule.
