<br />I <br /> <br />1 <br /> <br />-~..., <br /> <br />of all agencies will be included in tile minutes <br />as though rea.d in full." <br /> <br />The following is the report of Region 5, Bureau of Recla- <br />mation, to the Board at this meeting. <br /> <br />"The following is offered in response to your request for <br />a resume of activities and status of Region 5 projects to be re- <br />ported at the next meeting of the Board: <br /> <br />The report on the Closed Basin Division, San Luis Valley <br />Project, Colorado, is still under consideration by the Bureau of the <br />Budget as reported in our letter of March 28, 1966. <br /> <br />. Pursuant to the provisions of the Federal project Recrea- <br />tion Act, Governor John A. Love of Colorado has \'1ritten a letter of <br />intent for the state to administer project land and water areas for <br />recreation and fish and wildlife enhancement, and to bear not less <br />than one-half of the Separable costs of the project allocated to <br />operation, maintenance, and replacement costs of the recreation, <br />fish and wildlife facilities except when the project falls within <br />the normal administration of such Federal agencies as the Forest <br />Service or Bureau of Land Management. <br /> <br />The contract for construction of Azotea Tunnel and <br />appurtenant. structures under the San Juan-Chama Project, Colorado- <br />New Mexico, is about 37 percent complete. The contract for con- <br />struction of Blanco Tunnel, Diversion Dam and appurtenant structures <br />is about 28 percent complete. The contract for construction of <br />El vado Dam outlet works is about 56 percent complete. <br /> <br />Under the Navajo Indian Irrigation Project, Ne\', Hexico, <br />the contract for construction of Main Canal headworks and the 2 <br />miles of Tunnel NO. 1 is about 73 percent complete. The contract <br />for construction of a part of the Main Canal and the 5 miles of <br />Tunnel No.2 is about 38 percent complete." <br /> <br />HR. SPARKS: <br /> <br />"Geological survey? Nr. Odell, \.Till you <br />give that report?" <br /> <br />NR. ODELL: <br /> <br />"r.lr. Chairman, members of the Board, and <br />guests, runoff was well below normal during May <br />and June in all except tile southwestern part of <br />the state where near normal conditions pre- <br />vailed.
