Specifications were issued June <br />13, 1966, for clearing at Ruedi Reservoir. <br /> <br />On June 30, 1966, the prime contractor for <br />the construction of the Divide, South Fork, and <br />Chapman Tunnels, Diversion Dams, and Appurte- <br />nant Structures of the South Side Collection <br />System had accomplished approximately 21 per- <br />cent of the contract 1tri th about 30 percent of <br />the contract time elapsed. On June 13, 1966, <br />excavation of the tunnels had progressed as <br />follows: Divide, 4,344 feet; South Fork, <br />4,136 feet; Chapman, 6,641 feet. Average <br />daily advancement for the tunnels during the <br />month of May was as follows: Divide, II linear <br />feet per day; South Fork, 20 linear feet per <br />day; and Chapman, 33 linear feet per day. I <br />Progress in the Divide Tunnel is expected to <br />improve as the amount of water encountered at <br />the heading is decreasing and improvements are <br />being made in the mucking operations.
